« A flying engineer student for space communication»
Since high School, Sandra, 23, has a real vocation for a high-tech career in the military environment. After her “baccalauréat” in science, she went to the Military Academy where she was awarded for her performances in both scholar and sport activities. Her dream was to become a pilot in the French Air Force but, because of a physical problem, she was allowed to follow this way. This gave her more energy to succeed in engineering. She selected the French Institut National des Télécommunications and then a specialization in Space Communication at Supaero engineering school. During her studies, she initiated a project called EVAZ'INT to help disabled children to experience a first flight. Now, she is also in charge of Supaero Student association. As demonstrated, Sandra is very active and involved in many sports or leisure activities: running, flying airplanes, biking, parachuting, and first aid. Although her family is mainly antimilitarist, she’s clearly attracted by working for or with the air forces. She says that she has not been influenced in choosing a career in engineering and studies in science, as nobody in her relatives is an engineer. |
